Historical structures The building at the center of the disposal plan of Palazzo Marino dates back to the early twentieth century. It was purchased in 1934 for 100,000 lire. The Cerano facility had been assigned to the Garbagnate hospital until last year. Liberty villa for sale in the Intelvi Valley. Signed Giuliano Pisapia. The center-left mayor of Milan intends to raise cash and dispose of a series of family jewels, to face the increasingly looming crisis. And it starts right from the Lario: the difficult budget that is envisaged for Palazzo Marino will in fact be partly mitigated, hopefully, by the sale of the villa in Cerano d'Intelvi that the Municipality of Milan had assigned until February last year on a free loan. free use of the hospital "Guido Salvini" of Garbagnate Milanese. "The administration - explains a note from Palazzo Marino - is investigating all the elements, from the market value to the presence of historical-architectural constraints, useful for the decision, which will be taken in the coming months, on the fate of the property". The intelvese real estate complex that is destined to return to the market dates back to the early years of the last century and consists of the main villa (three floors with basement for a total area of 853 square meters), an appurtenant garden and a small separate building (a first floor for guest use and a ground floor intended for the shelter of vehicles for an area of 149 square meters). The Municipality of Milan bought the property back in 1934 for the sum of 100 thousand lire (according to the revaluation rate calculated on Istat data, it would be the equivalent of 211 million lire). As mentioned, a precise commercial value of the Intelvese villa owned by the Municipality of Milan has not yet been established, for the definition of which the difficult situation that the real estate market has experienced in recent times also for historic structures of this type and of this size. It should be remembered that until February 2012, the Intelvese complex was assigned on loan for free use to the "Guido Salvini" Hospital of Garbagnate Milanese and was used as a retirement home, frequented mainly by nuns. In fact, the complex has hosted, in addition to nuns from the Garbagnate hospital, nuns from the Niguarda hospital and the Milan Polyclinic. After the health facility renounced the management of the structure and the Milan municipality took over the Intelvese villa, the property remained unused and now, due to the economic crisis, the time has come for its disposal. "The villa is all in all still in good condition and beautiful to look at - says the mayor of Cerano Intelvi, Oscar Gandola to the" Corriere di Como "- it has an Art Nouveau style on the outside but does not preserve paintings or stuccoes inside that justify it. a particular constraint. Of course, after the sale it will require structural adjustments and interventions to the plants ». "It must be said that - continues the mayor of Cerano - in the logic of our territorial governance plan that we have adopted as a Municipality, we expect the property to maintain its social-welfare purpose and in this regard I think that we can go forward to a possible purchase by a buyer interested in maintaining this function for the structure, both Italian and foreign ". The other hypothesis could be the hotel one, in a sector that is however not as simple from a financial point of view as that of tourist accommodation. "In our territorial governance plan - comments Mayor Gandola - we give ample freedom to those interested in the Cerano villa and any opportunity to give it a future is important to us, we are not closed to any hypothesis". While waiting to define its destination, the Palazzo Marino council has already concluded a negotiation in favor of the community of Cerano regarding a fraction of the real estate sector. In fact, it has decided to accept the request of the Municipality of Cerano d’Intelvi which will therefore be able to use part of the property (the building annexed to the villa, a small concierge) free of charge for six months as a shelter for the city school bus.
